Admission only by registration to event@sri.org.tr

SRII hosts lectures on a regular basis. They take place in the Carl-Gustaf Andrén auditorium, usually on Tuesdays at 19:00. Lecturers include local, Nordic and international scholars and experts on various topics related to the institute's areas of research, sometimes scheduled around a common theme or lecture series. Scholarship holders and occasionally visiting researchers are asked to present planned or ongoing research during seminars in the Karin Ådahl meeting room. Other scholarship holders, visiting researchers or guests and visitors are always encouraged to attend, read, listen, ask questions and provide feedback even if the topic lies outside their own fields of study.

The significance of narratives and the way in which we tell them have come to the fore in recent years. Individual and collective stories are projected in both regular and social media, discussions of post-truths and alternative facts highlight the dangers of manipulated narratives, and in some places history is being rewritten in order to suit new political situations
